The New Options Project (NOP) is a $28 million, 3-year investment of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation focused on creating career pathways for young adults who are out of school and seeking work and enabling employers to access a new source of qualified, entry-level talent.

NOP provides seed funding to a number of anchor organizations that are developing new market-facing tools and approaches to:

  • Provide resources that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketplace between employers and out-of-school, out-of-work young adults – an untapped source of talent
  • Shift perceptions of out-of-school, out-of-work young adults so that their assets are amplified and made visible
  • Codify and transfer knowledge and lessons learned to be shared with those working with and on behalf of out-of-school, out-of-work young adults
  • Influence the system of individuals institutions, organizations and policies that impact out-of-school young adults

Return on Inspiration Labs provides strategic program advisory and project management services to the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and works closely with each anchor organization by providing incubation and implementation consulting as they develop and refine their respective innovations to achieve demonstrated market pull and sustainability beyond the initial 3-year investment cycle.
