A Successful Approach to Promoting Peace

Violence can seem like an overwhelming issue, but CeaseFire has been tackling violence prevention by taking a public health approach that incudes reducing the risk factors in communities, interrupting behavior cycles, and engaging in public education. ROI’s goal is to develop a strategy for scaling the CeaseFire model so that it could replicate its program in other communities. The result was the vision for a national center for CeaseFire which will provide technical training and assistance to partnering cities that are seeking to export its model.
